Calmness and Continuity demonstrates the flexibility of natural stone’s place in design both on the interior of the home and the exterior. Natural stone veneer used to be thought of as just for exterior usage and the occasional fireplace, but as of late, more and more designs have been incorporating natural stone all throughout the exterior and interior walls of the home.
The use of a glass door to divide the inside and outside elevates the continuity of the stone and creates a rhythm in the design of the home. It’s seamless transition from outside to in provides peace and calmness. The continuity of the stone creates a natural flow of warmth that radiates.
Nate Gossage, owner of Living Stone Builders, selected this stone specifically to the avoid the stark and cold feeling that modern homes sometimes evoke. Crema Elegante is a bold warm travertine with a subtle gray undertone; a Splitface finish exposes crystallizations formed over millions of years ago. As the stone transitions inside, the soft neutrals in the stone pair effortlessly with the wood accents in the home. Pulling in the tan, cream and neutral tones from the surrounding palette of materials, the stone blends effortlessly into the design of the home.
Crema Elegante Splitface was not only selected for its warmth and softness in color, but also for its clean and modern lay. The dry stack installation allows for a clean, stone forward look. By not using grout, it allows for the installation to have sleek lines. The stone itself is also saw cut on all four sides, adding to the sleek feel even more with its crisp edges.
Calmness and Continuity proves that natural stone veneer can be a luxurious interior specification that can elevate any design.
